SYNOPSIS

"The Pluto File" - ROBERT REED as SEAN FALLON - THE FALCON "The Pluto File" - HAYDEN RORK as PROFESSOR OTIS WARREN "The Pluto File" - ALBERT STRATTON as CHARLES BENSON

A secret testing site, Maryland, September 1942. Professor Otis Warren [HAYDEN RORK] and his assistant Charles Benson [ALBERT STRATTON] , are making a demonstration of an experiment which can provoke earthquakes. This experiment is part of the "Pluto File", an investigation for which the purpose it's to avoid quakes. "Our ultimate goal is to control and eliminate earthquakes... not create them. Our goal is to prevent, not create earthquakes..."

Meanwhile at La Guardia's airport an Irish mercenary known as The Falcon, enters the country with a neutral Swiss passport under the name of Sean Fallon [ROBERT REED]. The Customs officer tries to arrest him, but he invokes his Swiss passport, a neutral nation during the War time.

Shortly thereafter he infiltrates the Scientific Institute where Professor Warren is investigating. Disguised as a soldier he steals the "Pluto File" after knocking out the Professor. After confirming the file's veracity, The Falcon plans to kill Professor Warren in order to avoid any "loose ends", but he's unaware that he's a carrier of the bubonic plague.

Yeoman Diana Prince [LYNDA CARTER] and Major Steve Trevor [LYLE WAGGONER] visit Professor Warren at the Walter Reed Hospital. Diana tries to interrogate him, but he's unconscious. "You have discovered the hope of the ancients. Since time began, man has sought that knowledge... the knowledge to still the Earth's tremors or to cause them to quake with the energy of the sun."

Suddenly Diana notices a red beam of light and finds out that The Falcon is trying to shoot him from a building across the street. She rapidly whirls into Wonder Woman and chases him but he manages to escape.

With the "Pluto File" in their hands, the Nazis plan to provoke a quake in Maryland, dynamiting a perimeter a few miles away from the Capitol and the White House, but also near a Nuclear Plant.

Back in the Institute, Diana and Steve interrogate Professor Warren, but Charles Benson [ALBERT STRATTON] who is his assistant, shows symptoms of the bubonic plague and as both Steve and Diana become suspicious, he threatens them with a gun. He tries to escape but Wonder Woman stops him, and before she could interrogate him with her lasso, he dismays due to the plague.

The Falcon knows that secret atomic experiments are held in Bladensburg and he plans to dispose some dynamite in order to make the atomic reactor become unstable. Unaware of his illness he leaves traces on his way to Bladensburg, including a young boy at a gas station named Bobby Jensen [SEAN KELLY].

Severe security measures are taken at the Atomic Center but some loads detonate in the surroundings and the reactor overheats. At the Scientific Institute, Wonder Woman assists Professor Warren in search of a solution to cold the reactor. Wonder Woman amazes Professor Warren with her intelligence,  but suddenly The Falcon appears on scene and tries to kill him.

Wonder Woman tries to stop The Falcon and she tells him he's a carrier of the bubonic plague, and that even his love Camilla is very ill at the Hospital. As The Falcon dismays Professor Warren finds out that water is the solution to cold the reactor: "The effective countermeasure is to flood water within the reactor core...". The Falcon concludes, "Isn't a pity that we aren't all on the same side?" Wonder Woman replies: "Well, it's never too late to change, Falcon".

Back at the War Department Diana observes that The Falcon "...at least will have time to think. Perhaps he'll find a more useful way to direct his energies". Steve notices...

"that's just the kind of positive thinking that Wonder Woman would have, Diana. Good thinking". With a big smile Diana thanks Steve and ironically she tells: "I'm glad that you AND Wonder Woman approve..."

TRIVIA:
The room where Professor Warren is working at the Scientific Institute is B-312.
After being attacked by The Falcon, Professor Warren is taken to the Walter Reed Hospital and he stays at Room 203. LYNDA CARTER as Lynda Carter herself, used to visit that Hospital with Bob Hope as part of the Miss USA promotional tour.
While at the Walter Reed Hospital, visiting Professor Warren, Diana notices that the Falcon is aiming to shoot him. Paradoxically she whirls into Wonder Woman just in front of the same window where The Falcon is aiming through!!!!
When The Falcon shots his weapon and Wonder Woman uses her bracelets, the flash of light off the bracelet is first seen prior to the actual breakage of the glass.
When Wonder Woman jumps off the glassed window of the hospital, is clearly seen that in fact is one of the stunt doubles.
When Steve and Diana goes back to the Institute to try to find more about Charles Benson's alibi, in the first scene, we see Benson sitting on a chair by a desk. On that desk there are four books, it's clearly seen they're fake, they're props.
Diana drives a car, and that car's license plate is W-15-439.
At the Atomic Research Center we learn that "1 pound of uranium 238 equals over 2 million tons of coal."
Almost at the final, when Wonder Woman lassoes The Falcon, when we see Professor Warren it is clearly seen that his overall is unstitched by the seam.
Some sets used on this episode, specially that one which houses the "cyclotron reactor", were also used in other episodes of "THE NEW ADVENTURES OF WONDER WOMAN".
