DESCRIPTION: With the failure of Dick Cavett to attract a substantial following for ABC in the late-night arena, the network decided in 1973 to try a new tack: "ABC'S WIDE WORLD OF ENTERTAINMENT", an umbrella concept to air the Dick Cavett show on a monthly basis and a combination of made for TV movies, variety programs and the "In Concert" series produced by Dick Clark.

The "MISS WORLD USA PAGEANT" was one of those specials and featured Lynda as Miss World USA relinquishing her crown to the new winner.
