SYNOPSIS

"Wonder Woman Meets Baroness Von Gunther" "Wonder Woman Meets Baroness Von Gunther" "Wonder Woman Meets Baroness Von Gunther"

War Department, Washington D.C., 1942. General Philip Blankenship [RICHARD EASTHAM] tells Yeoman Diana Prince [LYNDA CARTER] that Major Steve Trevor [LYLE WAGGONER] may be in danger due to the activities of a Nazi spy ring. Diana quickly whirls into Wonder Woman and goes in search of Steve who is in a simulation of tactic operations. Nevertheless, this operation is sabotaged and Wonder Woman must intervene in Steve's rescue.

Back at War Department, General Blankenship tells Steve that the FBI suspects that he's a double agent. After that Steve receives an anonymous call that instigates him to go to Old Virginia Stables where an informer is supposed to give him evidences that will prove he's innocent.

Once in Old Virginia Stables, someone knocks Steve, delivers him unconscious on a jeep, sets the stable on fire and calls the police. Nevertheless before the police appears on scene and he could be charged, Wonder Woman rescues him.

Later Steve recovers in Diana's apartment. She said Wonder Woman took him there and left him a note. In that note she suggests him to interrogate Baroness Von Gunther [CHRISTINE BELFORD] in order to get some clues about the Nazi ring that's trying to implicate him.

Afterwards Steve and Diana go to the prison to interrogate Baroness Von Gunther. Once in there, she pretends to be weak, and informs Steve that as far as it concerns to her, there's no activity of the spy ring. Steve gets suspicious of an old key pending off the Baroness' neck. He recognized the key as one of those made in Austria and used for secret tunnels.

Meanwhile Tommy [CHRISTIAN JUTTNER], the son of the penitentiary's director, discovers a secret tunnel that leads to the outside. While Steve continues his interrogation Diana notices that Tommy's in danger and about to fall off a loose ladder. Diana decides Wonder Woman must intervene. Using her golden lasso Wonder Woman saves Tommy from falling. She befriends Tommy and commits her lasso in his care. Tommy is a big Sherlock Holmes fan, and is always investigating and playing around detective.

That same night Tommy watches Baroness Von Gunther and Officer Hanson [ED GRIFFITH] leaving the prison through the secret tunnel. They're heading to Arthur Deal's [BRADFORD DILLMAN] house. Deal is supposedly a patriot industrialist who'll be presiding a board that will investigate Steve Trevor, but they don't know he's also a Nazi agent. The plan of the Nazis is to sabotage a rocket cargo and implicate Steven Trevor.

Back at the prison they realize that Baroness Von Gunther has escaped and Tommy's is the only one who knows the truth. He tries to tell his father but he doesn't listen to him, and Hanson captures him.

When Wonder Woman recovers her consciousness she finds herself chained along with Steve and Tommy. To chain her, they have used a super-strong Nazi-made special chain, but it seems that they don't count with her super-strength.

Nevertheless Wonder Woman manages to liberates herself and then Steve and Tommy. While Steve fights with Deal, she defeats the other Nazis and then runs after Baroness Von Gunther who tries to escape. She jumps over

TRIVIA:
On this episode we see for the first time the transformation of Yeoman Diana Prince with her Navy uniform into Wonder Woman.
When Diana spins into Wonder Woman for the first time, she doesn't have her bracelets on. This same transformation scene was used in "Fausta, The Nazi Wonder Woman".
Though we know from the comics that Baroness Von Gunther's name is Paula, it's never mentioned in this episode.
Wonder Woman uses her lasso for the first time to save Steve Trevor.
Steve visits Diana's apartment for the first time, and also it's the first time that we see her apartment.
It's the first and only time that Wonder Woman drives a vehicle, when she saves Steve from the Old Virginia Stables set on fire.
On this episode we first see Etta Candy [Beatrice Colen] and General Blankenship as portrayed by Richard Eastham.
When Wonder Woman tries to save Tommy falling-off the ladder, she sort of flies to pick him up, but then she uses her lasso to get him down. In the first scene when we see her taking her lasso, it's the golden lasso from her outfit, but then in the next scene we can see that is a stronger, wider and longer rope. And when she's getting down it's clearly seen a wire which holds her in spite she's only carrying a dummy and not Christian Juttner, the young actor who played Tommy.
On this episode we first see Wonder Woman gassed, chloroformed and chained.
We first see Steve, Diana, General Blankenship and Etta Candy together.
